Giuseppe Zanotti Embroidered Floral Wedge Sandals

The Find: The straps are almost nothing, four whisper-thin ribbons of lime suede, and that is entirely the point. Everything Zanotti wanted you to see is behind you. The wedge is cream canvas worked over in hand embroidery, a whole garden of magenta blooms, marigold spires, olive ferns and a flash of cobalt at the base, then set by hand with faceted crystals in olivine, topaz and rose so the flowers catch light as you walk. Mid-2000s Giuseppe Zanotti Design, made in Italy, from the era when the house was building shoes like small pieces of furniture. Embellished wedges from this run rarely surface in this condition.

• Lime green suede upper, four-strand crossover vamp with contrast whipstitch along every edge
• Slip-on slide construction with a fixed suede knot-through strap at the toe
• Sculpted concave wedge wrapped in cream cotton canvas
• Hand-embroidered floral motif in magenta, rose, marigold, coral, olive and cobalt
• Hand-set faceted crystals in olivine, topaz and rose scattered through the blooms
• Nude leather-lined footbed, script Giuseppe signature over GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI DESIGN
• Leather sole with textured rubber tread pads at forefoot and heel
• Sole stamped 7½ B

Measurements: US 7.5 B. Wedge 3.75".

Condition: Excellent. The suede is even and unmarked with no bald spots or color loss. All crystals present and secure, embroidery bright with no pulls or fading, canvas clean. Footbed shows light surface scuffing and a faint shadow of wear at the heel seat, visible in photos, consistent with careful occasional use. Tread pads show minimal walking wear.
