Baby Phat Crystal Charm Sculpted Wedge

The Find:
Kimora Lee Simmons built Baby Phat on the idea that a logo should sparkle, and this is the shoe where that thinking peaked. A sculpted concave wedge in cream patent, a mirror gold footbed, and braided pink, white and gold leather straps hung with three charms: the crystal set baby phat script, the cat silhouette, and a tiny handbag. The cat logo is set in crystals on the outside of each wedge like a brooch. Underneath is a leather sole, not the molded rubber the volume styles used, which puts this pair in the upper tier of what the label produced. Charm shoes rarely survive with all their charms. This one did, and in a size the vintage market almost never sees.

• Cream patent look upper with a sculpted concave curve wedge

• Crystal set Baby Phat cat emblem on the outer face of both wedges
• Mirror gold metallic footbed with a pink embroidered cat logo at the heel
• Studded perimeter detail around the footbed edge
• Tan leather outsole with debossed cat logo and babyphat kimora lee simmons script
• Original gold foil content label intact on both soles

Measurements:
US 11 B, stamped. Wedge height approximately 3.5 inches 

Condition:
Excellent. Barely worn. The straps, charms, crystal emblems and gold footbeds are all clean and intact with no missing stones. There is one small grey scuff on the outer face of the left wedge, shown close up, and light surface wear across the leather soles consistent with a few wears. Heel tips are unworn. This is as close to unworn as original era Baby Phat footwear realistically comes.
