description
a heavy wool coat from the barbara turner collection, fully lined in silk with a substantial weight in the hand. a fur collar, of a type we haven't confirmed but believe to be genuine, sits above enamel buttons closing center front in clean, restrained styling. pockets and cuffs both feature a v-shaped cutout seamed into the body, the pockets applied with no visible topstitching, likely set in by hand. the sleeve construction is unusual: rather than the standard two-piece top and under sleeve most outerwear uses, the seam sits directly on top of the arm, giving the sleeve cap real structure and shape even off the body. a back vent at the hem allows for movement. the silk lining is finished entirely by hand.
