a black pleated skirt from the barbara turner collection, kept folded inside one of barbara's own stockings for decades, which is why the pleats have held their shape so precisely. cut in an a-line with real movement, closed with hook-and-eye at the side. heavy-duty loops at either side suggest this piece may have started life as a costume, consistent with a few other pieces in the collection. polyester, fiber content otherwise unconfirmed.
