Description
Vintage Gucci clutch in a delicate wildflower canvas print, in the style of the house's celebrated botanical designs by illustrator Vittorio Accornero, who created dozens of scarf and textile patterns for Gucci from the 1960s through the 1980s. This piece features the "Made in Italy by Gucci" script stamp, consistent with the brand's earlier-era labeling. Trimmed in cream leather with a gold-tone interlocking GG turnlock closure, the bag converts from a hand-carried clutch to a crossbody via a slim tucked-in gold chain strap. Opens to a cream leather interior with a slip pocket. A charming vintage piece from Gucci's celebrated era of Accornero-inspired botanical prints.
Condition
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The most noticeable flaw is yellowing and light staining on the cream leather trim, most visible along the top edge near the turnlock and in the interior lining. The floral canvas retains vibrant, well-preserved color with no fading. Leather trim shows light surface scuffing at the corners. Hardware retains its gold-tone finish with light patina expected of vintage pieces. Carries a faint musty smell from storage, typical of a piece this age — nothing overpowering, just the scent of a well-loved archival find.
