a blue les copains sundress in airy italian cotton and silk, made in italy with a painterly sunset print, washes of orange, rust, olive, and slate broken by bands of multicolor stripe. les copains is the bologna knitwear house founded in 1963, and its blue les copains diffusion line carried that italian craft into younger, print-driven pieces like this one. the dress has a scoop neck and a fitted, sleeveless bodice that drops to a striped low waist, then falls into a gathered, ruffle-hemmed skirt for swing and movement. a placed bouquet of cream lilies is printed up one shoulder against the darker ground, and the whole thing is lined in smooth cupro, finished with an exposed back zip.
please note: a few small spots to the cream interior lining and tiny snags throughout (not noticeable when worn); the sheer cotton gauze is delicate.
