a 1998 longaberger basket purse, handwoven from maple splint in dresden, ohio, with a fitted wooden lid, an antiqued brass turn-lock on a leather tab, and an adjustable tan leather crossbody strap on brass swivel clips. inside is a floral cotton lining with a fitted plastic protector. the base is branded longaberger baskets handwoven dresden ohio usa and hand-dated for 1998. longaberger built its name on handcrafted american baskets, and this lidded crossbody is the piece that reads right now as the perfect basket bag: structured, warm, and made to last.
