40s beaded faux pearl & rhinestone collar necklace

a glittering 1940s beaded collar, the kind worn over a sweater or a plain neckline to dress it up in an instant. faux pearls and faceted crystal rhinestones are hand-worked into a fine metallic-gold crochet net in a checkerboard-and-band pattern, edged all around with a pearl picot and finished with long gold cords that tie at the back, each ending in a little pearl cluster. it has real weight and shimmer in person, a proper mid-century occasion piece.

please note: unsigned. excellent vintage condition with just one rhinestone missing at the front right; the pearls are bright and the cords are intact.
