a saturated turkey-red cotton bandana built around a bold four-way medallion, printed fast color in the usa. paisley scrolls spin out from a central flower into a dense mirrored burst, framed by a paisley border and a field of small scattered boteh. the corner mark reads fast color, 100% cotton, rn 13962, with no country-of-origin line, which together with the fast color wording points to the 1960s or early 70s, before made-in-usa labeling became standard. one woven selvage edge remains with three narrow machine hems, and the red has held deep and even.
all bandanas are gently cleaned and pressed. beyond that we let them be, so any fading, softening, or small marks of use stay exactly as they came to us.
